Compulsory and optional trades criteria
These criteria apply to all supervisors, foremen and tradespeople working in a compulsory or optional trade (PDF) in Alberta.
The criteria for the Compulsory and Optional Trades Category include but are not limited to:
- You must intend to and be able to live and work permanently in Alberta.
- You must have
- a valid Alberta Qualification Certificate in a compulsory or optional trade (PDF), or
- a valid Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) Recognized Trade Certificate in a compulsory or optional trade (PDF)
If you do not have an Alberta Qualification Certificate or an AIT Recognized Trade Certificate when you apply to the AINP, your application will be declined. The AINP will verify that your trade certificate is valid and qualifies.
- You must be residing in Alberta at the time of application and show that you have a valid work permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to work in Alberta in the trade in which you are certified.
- You must show, at the time of application, that you are either currently working in your trade for an Alberta Employer or have previously worked in your trade with an Alberta Employer for a minimum of six months in the past two years.

이건 잡오퍼를 줄 수 있는 고용주를 찾아서 하거나 또는 역시 주정부 기술자격증 시험을 통과해서 IELTS 영어성적과 함께 이민신청할 수 있습니다. 그러나 연방 경험이민(CEC)이나 연방 기능직 기술이민은 모두 Express Entry 시스템으로 접수해서 심사 받습니다. 결국 연방이민으로 하느냐, 또는 그나마 crane operator로서 취업이 용이하고 특화된 프로그램을 갖고 있는 알버타 주정부 이민으로 영주권 접근을 하느냐 모두 선택사항입니다.

상담시에 안내드린 바와 같이, Crane operator로서 캐나다 현지에서 풀타임 취업을 하려면, 대다수는 거의 아래와 같이 주정부별로 trade certification을 요구합니다.
•Mobile crane operator trade certification is compulsory in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta and available, but voluntary, in all other provinces and the Northwest Territories.
•Tower crane operator trade certification is compulsory in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba and available, but voluntary, in Prince Edward Island.
•Mobile crane operator (hydraulic) trade certification is compulsory in Quebec and available, but voluntary, in Prince Edward Island.
•Hoist operator trade certification, for specified types of cranes, is compulsory in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta and is available, but voluntary, in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
•Mobile crane operators may require a provincial licence to drive mobile cranes on public roads.

안녕하세요.
어제 캐나다 팀에 계신분이 전화를 주셔서 통화는 했는데..
제가 잘 이해를 못한건지 해서요..
제가 지금 약 1년정도의 크레인operator 경력을 갖고 있는데요.
전화주신분이 말씀하시길 캘거리 AIT시험을 치뤄야 한다고 하셨는데
검색해보니까 AIT시험은 거진 6시간은 봐야하는 시험이고... 실기를 볼 때도 본인이 크레인을 빌려서
가져와야 한다는 말이 있더라구요..
근데 또 검색해보니까 굳이 시험을 보지 않고
한국에서 2년동안의 경험과 캐나다에서의 1년의 경험이 있으면
AIT시험을 보지 않아도 된다고 하는데
어떤말이 맞는지를 모르겠어요 ^^;;
