2014년 6월 1일부터 바뀐 캐나다 study permit 지원 가능 학교 리스트가 CIC 웹사이트에 공개되었습니다.

6개월 이상 캐나다 학교에서 수학할 목적으로 학생비자 (study permit)을 신청하려면, 해당 학교가 반드시 캐나다이민성에서 지정한 교육기관 리스트 상에 있어야 합니다.

초, 중, 고교는 자동적으로 지정 교육기관이므로 지정교육기관 목록 상에는 뜨지 않습니다.

고교 졸업 이후 학업을 위한 학생비자를 신청할 시에는 신청서에 리스트 상 나오는 DLI 번호를 반드시 기입해야 합니다.

이 지정교육기관 명단은 정기적으로 업데이트 될 것입니다.

일부 학교 중에 이번에 DLI 번호가 없더라도 명단에 학교이름이 보인다면 국제학생을 유치할 수 있도록 지정된 것입니다.

To apply for a study permit on or after June 1, 2014, you will need a letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution. You need to include the Designated Learning Institution number (DLI #), which is the number that begins with the letter “O”, on your application form.

All primary and secondary schools in Canada are automatically designated. They do not appear on this list. You do not need to include a DLI number on your application form if you apply at this type of school.

To find an institution at the post-secondary level:
Step 1: Select the province/territory in which your institution is located. A list of all the designated learning institutions in that province/territory will appear.

Step 2: To search for a specific institution, type in any key words (partial name of the institution or the city in which the institution is located).
Important Note: This list will be updated on a regular basis. Some institutions may not have a DLI number at this time; however, if the name of the institution appears on the list, they are designated to host international students.

2014년 6월 1일부터 학생비자를 신청하려면 캐나다 이민성에서 지정한 “지정교육기관”으로부터 입학허가서를 받아 제출해야 합니다.

만일 6월 1일 이후에 접수된 학생비자 신청서에 지정교육기관이 아닌 학교의 입학허가서를 제출했을 시 신청서는 거절됩니다.

만일 6월 1일 전에 학생비자 신청서를 접수했고, 지정교육기관이 아닌 학교로부터 받은 입학허가서를 제출했다면, 신청서 수속은 진행되고, 해당 학교에서 학생비자 유효기간 동안만 공부가 가능합니다.

그리고 프로그램/학위를 마치기 위한 학생비자 갱신은 2017년 6월 1일 전까지만 가능할 것입니다.

만일 6월 1일 이전에 학생비자가 발급되어 지정교육기관이 아닌 학교에서 공부할 예정인 경우, 허락된 현재 비자 유효기간 내에서 학업이 가능할 것입니다. 그리고 전체 코스를 마치기 위해 학생비자 갱신을 신청할 경우 2017년 6월 1일 이전까지만 갱신이 가능할 것입니다.

만일 학생비자를 이미 발급받은 후 공부를 하고 있는 상태에서 학교가 지정교육기관으로서의 지위를 상실했을 경우, 허락된 현재 비자 유효기간 내에서 등록한 기간만큼 학업을 계속할 수 있습니다.

그리고 프로그램/학위를 마치기 위한 학생비자 갱신은 2017년 6월 1일 전까지만 가능할 것입니다.

To apply for a study permit on or after June 1, 2014, you will need to have a letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution.

• Each province and territory in Canada is responsible for designating schools at the post-secondary level that may enrol international students on or after June 1.

• A list of designated learning institutions at the post-secondary level will be available on the CIC website by June 1, 2014.

• If your study permit application is received on or after June 1 and your letter of acceptance is from an institution that is not designated for international students, your application will be refused.

• All primary and secondary institutions in Canada are automatically designated but will not appear on the designated learning institution list. If you are applying for your child to study in Canada at the primary or secondary level, please see Get a study permit.
If your application for a study permit is received before June 1, 2014, and your letter of acceptance is from an institution that is not designated for international students:

• your application will be processed and you may still pursue your program of study at that institution for the duration of your study permit; and

• you will be able to renew your study permit in order to complete your program, but not beyond June 1, 2017.
If you were issued a study permit before June 1 and are studying at an institution that is not designated for international students:

• you will be able to pursue the program of study that you are enrolled in for the duration of your current permit; and

• you will be able to renew your study permit in order to complete your program, but not beyond June 1, 2017.
If the institution you are studying at loses its status as a designated learning institution after you have already been issued a study permit:

• you will be able to pursue the program of study that you are enrolled in for the duration of your current permit; and

• you will be able to renew your study permit in order to complete your program, but not beyond June 1, 2017.
